08Recommended dilution ratios

Ratios reproduced from the supplied original TDS. Confirm the ratio convention (product:water) with MERYT before issuing final mixing instructions.

Application Dilution Directions
General interior cleaning 1:5–1:7 Wipe or spray hard surfaces; follow with a damp cloth.
Exterior aircraft surfaces 1:2–1:3 For light soils use more water. Dwell 5–15 minutes before rinsing, where permitted.
Heavy / greasy soils 1:1–1:3 Agitate with compatible brushes or pads; rinse with free-flowing water.
Tank / immersion cleaning 1:3 Soak until soils loosen. Mechanical agitation can reduce cleaning time.

09Directions after dilution

Read the current SDS before use. Follow applicable aircraft, component and equipment maintenance procedures.

Ultrasonic cleaning

Submerge parts in the diluted solution. Select cleaning time according to contamination and the applicable maintenance procedure.

Parts washers

Use diluted solution with compatible brushes or agitation. A grease filter can help limit contaminant recirculation.

Spray application on metals

Apply diluted solution, allow 5–10 minutes where permitted, agitate with a compatible pad and follow the required wash and rinse procedure.

Spray & wipe

Apply diluted solution and wipe with a clean cloth. Heating is not required.

Soaking

Use a 2-, 5- or 10-minute soak according to contamination and maintenance requirements. Brush or scrub where permitted.

Pressure cleaning booth

Apply diluted solution and allow 5–10 minutes before hot or cold pressure cleaning, where permitted.

10Handling & product information

Gloves and eye protection recommended. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Read the current SDS before use and follow applicable maintenance, handling and disposal requirements.
